Founded in 2009, Mewar University is a private higher education institution located in the the rural setting of the large town of Chittorgarh (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Rajasthan. Officially accredited/recognized by the University Grants Commission, India, Mewar University (MU) is a coeducational higher education institution. Mewar University (MU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees in several areas of study. MU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services
Mewar University is an autonomous body set up by the Government of Rajasthan through Act. No. 4 of 2009, passed by the Rajasthan Assembly (Govt. of Rajasthan).The University is further approved by the UGC under u/s 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956, with the right to confer degree under u/s 22(1) of the UGC Act vide letter No.F.9-15/2009 (CPP-I) dt. 30 March 2009. Mewar University is promoted by the Mewar Education Society (MES), headed by Dr. Ashok Kumar Gadiya. It is controlled by a Board of Management, constituted by the MES.

Objectives

History
Mewar University is promoted by the Mewar Education Society (MES). It is controlled by a Board of Management, constituted by the MES, which is headed by Chairperson Shri Ashok Kumar Gadiya.
Campus
According to the university, it has three campuses- Chittorgarh, Gaziabad, Hyderabad
Hostels
The University provides separate hostel facilities for boys and girls within the campus.
The hostels have a total capacity to accommodate around 3000 students. Each hostel is divided into separate wings with a separate common room. Each of the hostels is managed and looked after by a dedicated warden.
The hostels provide several sports facilities for its inmates, which include badminton, basketball, volleyball, cricket and indoor games such as table tennis, carom and chess. In order to ensure physical as well as spiritual fitness for its future professionals, the hostellers are provided with a gymnasium.

Admission notice for B.Tech courses
In the present day world the organization in specific work area (like IT, Infrastructure etc) are getting large and need the persons with specific and expertise skill set to handle a particular domain/portfolio. To handle such specific/domain centric portfolio, at the middle and top-level management level, general subject knowledge/skill is not sufficient but the person expert in the particular domain/area are required
Hence, in the present day context, there is need of such programmes that may render specific and depth understanding of a particular domain/area in the prospective employees/ entrepreneurs. In this light Mewar University has launched B.Tech programme, that would impart in-depth knowledge and skill in the candidate in their elected specialization area throughout the programme
Student will be awarded with B.Tech degree at the successful completion of eighth semester in the elected specialization
Duration: 4 years (8 semesters)
Choice of disciplines: Computer Science and Engineering; Electronics and Communication; Electrical and Electronics Engineering; Civil Engineering; Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering
Eligibility criteria: Pass with minimum 55% in (10+2) exam or its equivalent with Maths and Physics along with Chemistry/Computer Science for admission in 1st year of the programme or 3 years Engineering Diploma for direct admission in 2nd year of the programme
Qualifying examination: AIEEE/any national or state level engineering entrance exam
Programme fee: Tuition fee Rs 57,000/- (per year); examination fee Rs 3000/- (I/II semester)
One time charges at the time of admission: Prospectus Rs 500/-; enrolment fee Rs 500/-; registration fee Rs 1000/- (stationary, books and uniform charges will be extra as applicable from time to time)
All the fees would be accepted through pay order/demand draft made in favor of Mewar University payable at Chittorgarh (Rajasthan)
How to apply: Students may collect application form with prospectus on payment of fee of Rs 500/- from University campus or camp office; or may download the application form from University website and submit the same with a fee of Rs 500/-

MU scholarships to meritorious students: 75% of tuition fee free to students securing 90% and above in (10+2); 25% of tuition fee free to students securing 85% and above in (10+2)

Candidates must have a Post Graduation degree with minimum of 55% Marks in the respective disciplines (50% marks in case of SC/ST/PH candidates).
