Kushabhau Thakre Patrakarita Avam Jansanchar University (KTUJM) is a public university offering specialized education in media and related fields. Located in Raipur, the capital of Chhattisgarh, t is also known as Media Gurukul. The university has a campus located at the Kota Stadium in Raipur. It has been named after Late Sri Kushabhau Thakre. The University has been established by the Government of Chhattisgarh Vide Act 24 of 2004.
Educational Streams
KTUJM offers specialized education viz.  professional programs in the field of Journalism and Mass Communication. Masters level courses conducted by the University includes Journalism, Advertising & Public Relations, Mass Communication and Electronic Media. Graduates in any stream with minimum of 45% marks are eligible for admission in PG programs which are 4 semestar full time courses. SC/ST candidates are given some relaxation in terms of age and eligibility.
Kushabhau Thakre Patrakarita Avam Jansanchar University conducts undergraduate programmes in Journalism & Mass Communication. The applicants must have passed Higher Secondary Examination from any recognized board.
Facilities
The University campus houses office buildings, well equipped classrooms, faculty rooms, library, computer lab, audio-visual studio, language lab and other necessary infrastructure. Private hostels are currently available for boys and girls in the vicinity. The university makes efforts to involve the students in extra curricular activities by providing them with the required amenities for outdoor and indoor sports.
History
Established on December 2004, KTUJM was started by the Chhattisgarh Government to provide educational opportunities for the people of the state in the field of mass communication, journalism and media related studies.

Campus

The university is located at a self-contained campus at Kathadih Raipur. Kathadih village is situated some six kilometres from Bhatagaon, which stands on National Highway 6, near Sunder Nagar, Raipur. It is roughly 16 km away from the railway station. Mana (Raipur) airport is around 15 km. Auto Rickshaw charges Rs. 250 from the railway station. The present campus has office, classrooms, faculty rooms, library, Computer lab, Language lab and other necessary infrastructure with hostel for boys and girls.
