Founded in 1984, Kalasalingam University is a private higher education institution located in Krishnankoil, Tamil Nadu. Officially accredited/recognized by the University Grants Commission, India, Kalasalingam University (KLU) is a coeducational higher education institution. About the University

Arulmigu Kalasalingam College of Engineering, which was established in the year 1984 by Kalvivallal Thiru. T.Kalasalingam, has now been upgraded as Kalasalingam University. The University has been accredited by NAAC with “A” Grade and a Score of 3.11 in the four point scale. Also our University has been ranked 52nd among top Universities in India by NIRF-MHRD 2016. The University is well poised to become a leading centre of Excellence of International repute in Education and Research under the leadership and guidance of the Chancellor Dr.K.Sridharan, the Vice-Chancellor Dr.S.Saravanasankar and the Directors Dr.S.Shasi Anand and Mr.S.Arjun Kalasalingam. The h-index of Kalasalingam University as per SCOPUS database is 43. The faculty members of our University have established extensive International Collaboration for research activities, resulting in large number of joint publications. The University is situated at Krishnankoil, 65 KM South of Madurai and 10 KM North of Srivilliputtur in Madurai – Senkottah National Highway. The nearest airport is Madurai. About the Department

The Department of Business Administration was established in the year 1994 and was affiliated to Madurai Kamarajar University till 2002 and then affiliated to Anna University till 2007. After the institution was declared Deemed-to-be University status by Government of India from October 2006, our department comes under Kalasalingam University.Our academic programs are designed to provide graduates with cutting edge skills and attributes that make them excel in their respective field.  Our Department is imbibed with modern infrastructure and technological support to facilitate teaching, learning and personality development of its future manager sand professionals.  Our lecture rooms and computer facilities are well-equipped and we have excellent library resources. Students are encouraged to follow their passion and aspirations when choosing their study.

Training Placement Office

Office of Corporate Relations at Kalasalingam University was established with the aim of nurturing strong and continuous partnership between the industries and university. It creates and maintains relations with industries for effective exchange of knowledge between the University and the industries.  This office is entrusted with the duty of interacting with the industries to increase the employment opportunities of the students and to increase their “real world” awareness. Practical training and placements of the University students are coordinated by the Office of Corporate Relations.
PLACEMENT CHART

The major functions of the office are:

  • Facilitate the participation of industry representatives in the academic process by way of arranging industrial lectures
  • Foster University – industry exchange programs including student internships
  • Coordinating placement related activities
  • Coordinate training activities for the students (both soft skills and technical skills)
  • Facilitate the filing of patents origin our of original research carried out by faculties
  • Formal licensing to the industry of University – generated patents and technologies
  • Arranging the use of university facilities by the industry

Offering information, advice, guidance and job-seeking support for students are considered as the important activities of this Office.  Career Advisers are available to discuss ideas and plans, and students are encouraged to attend the wide range of talks, information fairs and recruitment events offered.Office of Corporate Relations, along with the concerned Departments and Centers of the University, gets actively involved in the following activities:

  • Identifying industry representatives for various advisory groups of the University

  • Coordination with industry for direct recruitment of the top ranking students
  • Identifying and inviting industries for campus recruitment

  • Coordination of campus recruitment activity
  • Reviewing every recruitment process and giving recommendations for subsequent recruitments
