Established in 1993, Graphic Era University is a private higher education institution located in the the urban setting of the metropolis of Dehradun (population range of over 5,000,000 inhabitants), Uttarakhand. Officially accredited/recognized by the University Grants Commission, India, Graphic Era University (GEU) is a medium-sized (enrollment range: 6,000-6,999 students) coeducational higher education institution. Graphic Era University (GEU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees in several areas of study. GEU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.
Graphic Era Hill University was established on April 28, 2011 under Section 2(f) of the UGC Act, 1956 under the aegis of Graphic Era Educational Society, Dehradun. Since its inception the university has been growing at an exponential pace under the able guidance of our excellent leadership and dedicated services of the staff and faculty members

History
Graphic Era Institute of Technology was founded in 1993 and started with undergraduate programs in core engineering and allied sciences. Soon after the establishment. On August 14, 2008 Graphic Era Institute of Technology was awarded with Deemed University title under section 3 of UGC act and Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
Graphic Era University was established by Kamal Ghanshala, an academician and computer engineer, in 1993. He is a past recipient of the Uttarakhand Ratan Award, the International Millennium Goldstar award and the lifetime achievement award from Indian Economic Development and Research Association, New Delhi.
The university now offers 40 undergraduate and postgraduate courses across disciplines like engineering and technology, management, allied sciences, humanities and social sciences, and hospitality.
Research and achievements
Graphic Era University has a training and placement department, the Corporate Resource Cell, which works towards the fulfillment of the students’ aspirations of attaining the best professional career. Campus placement drives at Graphic Era University attract multinational organizations like WIPRO, Cognizant, Tata Consultancy Services, Contus, Appstudioz, Aon Hewitt and HCL Technologies. More than 2000 placements were recorded in academic session 2012–2013. Recently Arvind Mishra, a faculty of this institution claimed the longest marathon lecture[1] award hosted by Guinness world records.Graphic Era University has been awarded “A” grade with grade points of {3.23/4.00} from National Assessment and Accreditation Council {NAAC}.
