The University
Dr K N Modi University, a State Government ordained, UGC approved Private University, situated on a sprawling 45 acres campus with sylvan surroundings is situated at Newai in the Tonk district of Rajasthan. It is being managed by Dr K N Modi Foundation, whose Founder Dr Kedar Nath Modi was a doyen in contributing to the cause of the Society and a pioneer in establishing educational institutions to offer quality and value based education – primary to higher levels of professional education – in the background of his committed belief, “Education Builds Nation” , to the members of the learners community belonging to diverse economic and economic strata’s of the society. The Foundation, now in the throes of its Platinum Jubilee Celebrations, is being administered by the illustrious son of its Founder, Dr D K Modi, who is educated both in India and UK
The University, in the background of its philosophy, “Education for the Development of The society”, has embarked on a missionary zeal to realise its goals and objectives, since its inception during the academic year 2010 – 11.The University is unflinching in its efforts while pursuing a path of quality growth with quantitative developmental and enterprising activities. It offers professional natured academic programs related to Agriculture, Arts, Commerce, Diverse Disciplines of Engineering, forestry, Law, Management, Pharmacy and Science streams at Diploma (limited to Engineering and Pharmacy Studies at Present), Undergraduate, Post Graduate and Doctoral levels to scores of students belonging not only diverse strata of the society but also diverse regions of the State and States of our Nation besides those from Afghanistan and Nepal , in the main now, and those from African and East Asian Countries in the near future.
Magnificently majestic, intelligently resource optimised and eco-friendly infrastructure facilities adore its campus at Newai. The completely Wi-Fi enabled campus boasts of sufficient space for carrying out its administrative activities besides fully furnished class rooms to accommodate more than 100 students at a time and equipped with high end computer related audio visual communication facilities, laboratories with advanced and State-of-art analytical and experimental testing facilities besides varieties of amenities to address the basic and daily needs of its inmates. Separate hostel facilities for boys and girls including international standards lodging rooms and guest houses and hygienically high quality and mouth-watering and serving both vegetarian and non-vegetarian delights are the other attractions of the campus as a whole. Camus is in the vicinity of the main city of Newai which in turn is well connected by road and rail to the other parts of Rajasthan. Department of Humanities
Interdisciplinary in orientation, the Department currently offers courses in five subjects: Economics, English Literature and Linguistics, Philosophy, Psychology and Sociology.
It is in this respect that we feel particularly well-equipped to contribute to a science, arts and ethics dialogue across cultural boundaries.
Original contributions to research and to ongoing debates in ethics, cultural anthropology, critical theory, cognition, ideology, development policy, organizational behaviour and economic activity, environmental and gender studies, the history of science and technology, the philosophy of culture, and indeed to the nature of theory itself are crucial within a Department like ours.
Teaching methods in HUSS emphasize the discursive mode and interpersonal contact between faculty and students both at the UG and PG levels. The ‘Communication Skills’ course is only one such example of our efforts to foster social and intellectual self-confidence
The program is based on a special general education core that provides an academic base.

School of Pharmaceutical Studies, Faculty of health Science
The Department “School of Pharmaceutical Studies” was established in 2016 with a mission “To become a Centre of excellence worldwide in the field of Pharmaceutical Science with the best of teaching-learning and research facilities”.
Pharmacy is the science and technique of preparing and dispensing drugs. It is a health profession that links health sciences with chemical sciences and aims to ensure the safe and effective use of pharmaceutical drugs.
Under the courses of pharmacy, students are given theoretical and practical knowledge of following core subjects:
Pharmacognosy: The study of medicines derived from natural sources.
Pharmaceutical chemistry: The study of drug design to optimize pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics, and synthesis of new drug molecules (Medicinal Chemistry).
Pharmacology: The study of the biochemical and physiological effects of drugs on human beings.
Pharmaceutics: The study and design of drug formulation for optimum delivery, stability, pharmacokinetics, and patient acceptance.
