Founded in 1968, Assam Agricultural University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the the urban setting of the large town of Jorhat (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Assam. Officially accredited/recognized by the University Grants Commission, India, Assam Agricultural University (AAU) is a coeducational higher education institution. Assam Agricultural University (AAU) offers courses and programs leading to officially recognized higher education degrees such as bachelor degrees, master degrees, doctorate degrees in several areas of study. AAU also provides several academic and non-academic facilities and services to students including a library, as well as administrative services.

Assam Agricultural University (AAU) is an agricultural university which was established in 1969 in Jorhat in the state of Assam, India. The jurisdiction of the University extends to the entire State of Assam with regard to teaching, research and extension education in the field of agriculture and allied sciences. The University has a number of campuses with its headquarters at Borbheta, Jorhat.

  • Diphu – Hill Zone
  • Gossaigaon – Lower Brahmaputra Valley Zone
