National School of Drama, Delhi shall organize all the activities related to NSD Admission 2018. NSD is an autonomous organization which runs under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India. This school offers education in the field of dramatic arts. NSD prepares and trains students to become professional in the field of Acting, Design, Direction and other relevant areas. Students have to clear various admission rounds to get admission in 3 year diploma course in dramatic arts offered by the NSD. NSD Admission Form 2018

  • Candidates can avail the NSD Application Form 2018 via online and offline mode.
  • The application form can be obtained by post or book shops of National School of Drama.
  • Fill all the necessary details such as personal, academic, address and other details in the application.
  • Make the application fee payment through offline mode.

Application Fee:

  • The application fee will be Rs. 150/- for all the candidates.
  • Candidates obtaining application by post are required to pay Rs. 225/-.
  • Candidates can make the fee payment through demand draft drawn in favor of “The Director, National School of Drama, New Delhi”.

Eligibility Criteria

Students seeking for admission in NSD are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying. The eligibility criteria to get admission in NSD is given below:

  • Qualification: Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any stream from any recognized university or college.
  • Theater Work: Candidates must have participated in minimum six theatre productions.
  • Age Limit: The minimum age limit is 20 years and maximum is 30 years as or on 1st July 2018. Five year age relaxation will be prescribed for the SC/ST candidates.
  • Language: Candidates must have working knowledge of English and Hindi.

NSD Exam Pattern

  • Mode: The exam will be conducted through offline mode.
  • Language: The exam medium will be in Hindi or English language. Candidates have to choose any one language among them.
  • NSD Syllabus: The questions will be asked from topics like Aptitude and Acting Skills.

Preparation Tips

  • For admission in NSD, you should work in various abilities like singing, dancing, knowledge about theatre, etc.
  • Firstly, gather all the details about the syllabus for aptitude test.
  • Make a time-table suitable as per your daily routine and divide your time equally for all the activities.
  • Specially work on your fitness, do exercise, yoga, meditation, etc.
  • Gather some good knowledge & experience about acting and theatre.
  • Also work on your other talents like playing a musical instrument, knowing its type, etc.

NSD Admit Card

Candidates who have successfully submitted the application form can get the admit card. The admit card will be released before one or two weeks from the examination date. The hall ticket will have details like students name, roll number, exam centre, exam date and other exam related instructions.

NSD Results

Students can check the NSD Result 2018 within one month after the examination. The result may be announced through offline or online mode. Candidates are suggested to preserve the result till the admission process gets completed.

NSD Admission 2018 Process

To get admission in NSD, candidates have to go through the different admission rounds. First of all students have to clear the preliminary or aptitude test. This test will judge your aptitude and acting skills. After qualifying the test, candidates have to attend a workshop of around five days under the school premises. Students also have to go through the medical test for physical fitness organized at NSD. The final selection will be done as per the candidate performance in the aptitude test and workshop. All the candidates selected for admission may also get a Rs. 6000/- scholarship on monthly basis.
