NEET Super Speciality Examination

NEET SS or Entrance Test cum National Eligibility (Super Speciality Courses) is organized by the National Board of Education for admission to 2,447 Doctorate of Medicine (DM) and Master of Chirurgie (M.Ch) seats in 156 organizations crossways India. It is a qualifying along with ranking assessment for admission to super specialty courses.

NEET-SS is the qualifying test for studying super-specialty subjects such as neurology, cardiology, and urology, as well as others, for post-graduates. 

Important Dates Related to NEET SS 2022

NEET SS 2022 exam will be apprehended on June 18 and June 19 in a computer-based method. NBE has so far not published applications dates for the entrance exam. Applicants will have to do online registration first to fill up the details in the application form for NEET SS 2022. Registration for the NEET SS exam 2022 is expected to begin in the third week of April.

NEET SS Application Form

The National Board of Examinations will announce the application form on the NTA Board’s certified website. The mode of filling out the application form for NEET SS will be online only. The process to fill in the application form is following: –

  • Go to the sanctioned site of the National Board of Examinations.
  • Select the application form link given on the homepage.
  • You will be now readdressed to a fresh page.
  • The first stage is the registration procedure.
  • In the registration method- you have to enter all the required details such as – Name, Father’s Name, Date of Birth, E-mail ID, Phone Number, etc.
  • Select the submit option, and a registration ID together with a password is obtained on your email id and registered mobile number.
  • Log in using the documentation and fill in the further details.
  • The rest of the details contain Selecting the test center, your educational details, Super Speciality Course, etc.
  • Check all the information again before leading to the next step.
  • Upload your signature and passport size photograph as per the conditions.
  • Give the payment of the application form and select the submit option.
  • Download and get the printout of the application form. Keep the application form printout safe and sound for future reference.

NEET SS Application Fee 

The Exam Fee embraces the examination fee and information notice. The applicant has to pay Rs 3750/- which is common for all the candidates.

Mode of payment

  • The Registration Fees can be compensated using a Debit Card/Credit Card/Internet Banking/ issued by the Banks in India.
  • The charges will be Non-Refundable and will not be approved further if the application form is excluded or is found to be not qualified to appear in the assessment.
  • Candidates are recommended to give in the online application form before the ultimate date. Make available a valid e-mail id and active mobile number.

NEET SS Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria are a very essential aspect of any admission process. A candidate is authorized to participate in the admission procedure only if he/she meets the eligibility criteria.

The eligibility criteria for both Indian Nationals and Foreign Nationals are given below: –

For Indian Candidates

  • The candidate has to put forward their Post-Graduate Medical Degree (MS/MD/DNB) or Equivalent Qualification or Provisional Pass Certificate for the Entrance Examination.
  • Candidates who are in their final academic examination they also eligible to apply for NEET SS.

For Foreign National Candidates

  • Foreign nationals can take part in NEET-SS without MCI registration. The Medical Council of India might approve temporary registration for the duration of the post-Doctoral course when payment of the prescribed registration fee for the particular medical college/institution to which he/she is admitted will be paid but for the time being completely for pursuing postdoctoral studies.
  • Provided further that provisional registration to such foreign national will be exposed to the condition that such person is appropriately registered with a proper registering government department in his own country wherefrom he has attained his PG Medical degree and is accordingly documented by the consequent Medical Council or related authority.

In spite of this, the admission to super-specialty courses in medical institutions like JIPMER (Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education & Research), AIIMS (All India Institute of Medical Sciences), NIMHANS (National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences), PGIMER (Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research), SCTIMST (Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology), is not permitted based on the NEET SS marks.

NEET SS Exam Day Guidelines

  • Applicants must report at least two hours previously the beginning of the examination.
  • Applicants will have to undertake biometric verification, security checks, identity verification, and image capture.
  • Entry inside the examination hall will not be allowed 30 minutes former to the beginning of the examination.
  • The subsequent objects are prohibited inside the examination hall such as notes, pencil boxes, calculators, pens, erasers, Textual material, Mobile phones, Bluetooth, microphones, earphones, pager, etc.
  • Bags, belt, wallet, goggles, etc.
  • Kinds of Stuff like bracelets, rings, badges, brooch, etc.
  • Eatables and beverages.

NEET Super Speciality Exam Pattern & Syllabus

For the NEET Super Speciality exam, applicants can pick two clubbed groups or super speciality programs. The selection will be made while filling up the application form. Differentiate question papers will be arranged for each clubbed group/ super specialty course. The exam pattern details of NEET SS are provided below:

  • It is an online-based entrance test.
  • There is a multiple-choice type of question.
  • A total of 100 questions are asked.
  • The question paper is in the English language.
  • Time duration of the test is 1:45 hours.
  • 4 marks will be allotted for a correct answer and 1 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer.

The question paper will consist of two parts. The circulation of questions and time will be as under: In Part A, the total no. of questions is 40 and the time allotted for Part A is 45 minutes. In Part B, the total no. of questions is 60 and the time allotted for Part B is 60 minutes

Part-A: This division will have queries from the confluent broad specialism for a specific super specialty course.

Part-B: This division will have queries related to the concerned super-specialty/ clubbed group (at PG exit level)

NEET Super Speciality Exam Syllabus

The syllabus of the Super Speciality exam question paper is mentioned below:-

Syllabus for Part A

  • If an applicant has picked only a particular feeder broad speciality course intended for a super-specialty program, the quizzes asked will be only from a single course. For example, MS/ DNB Orthopaedics is the only tributary subject for the M. Ch Paediatric Orthopaedics course. Therefore, the Part-A of the Paediatric Orthopaedics question paper will have queries only from the Orthopaedics section.
  • If an applicant has chosen manifold feeder broad courses, Part-A of the question paper will have queries from both of the courses. For example, for DM in Cardiology, the entitled feeder modules are Pediatrics, General Medicine, and Respiratory Medicine. As a result, the queries in Part-A will be from all three programs.

Syllabus for Part B

The queries will be on the subjects of PG including basic sciences and clinical practice.

Conclusion

Conferring to the Indian Medical Council Act, 2016, there is no other entrance test available for admission to these courses. So, if a candidate wants to pursue their further education in DM/MCh (Doctorate of Medicine/Magister Chirurgiae) streams they can apply for this examination. Admission will be approved to 156 private/ government medical universities/ colleges and Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) organizations.
