The B.Tech program in Automobile engineering deals with the study of various engines and their construction, electrical systems, alternate fuels, safety, economics and quality of an automobile. For a better learning experience, students are exposed to case studies and problem-based learning, brainstorming, written tests, computer simulation, group discussions, industrial training seminars and projects. The graduates are placed in organizations specialising in products and services related to automobile industry, software solutions, product and technology, like Tata Motors, Mahindra & Mahindra, Daimler India Ltd, Honda 2 wheelers, Tata Consultancy Services.
Qualification: Pass in 10+2, A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional with a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.
ADMISSIONS
General Category: Admissions are done on the basis of rank in the All India Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET) 2017.
Foreign/NRI Category: Admissions are done on the basis of marks obtained in the qualifying examination.
Note: Candidates can apply both under General and Foreign/NRI categories. Change of category from Foreign/NRI to General after admission will not be entertained under any circumstances.
Test Syllabus: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and General English include questions based on the 10+2 syllabus followed by major 10+2 Boards /Universities
