ICAR AIEEA 2018: Application Form, Exam, Dates, Pattern & Eligibility

All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA) conducted by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR AIEEA 2018) for undergraduate and postgraduate admissions including PG Scholarship. For admission to Ph.D courses, ICAR conducts AICE-JRF/SRF (PGS). Through ICAR AIEEA UG exam, 15% seats of bachelor degree programmes (B.F.Sc/B.Tech/ B.Sc ag. etc) in Agricultural Universities (AUs) will be filled. ICAR AIEEA 2018 Application Form:

  • The availability of the application form is via online source.
  • The forms can be attained in the month of March
  • There is no proviso like offline mode for catching application form.
  • Students are required to fill the application form after reading all the details carefully

  • Take print out of the application form and send it along with the payment fee and other documents as well

Application fee payment category wise is as follows:

Those who are applying for AIEEA UG, category GEN, OBC and UPS need to make payment of Rs. 500/-. Those belonging to SC/ST and PC, need to make payment of Rs. 250/-. Those belonging to GEN, OBC and UPS required making payment of Rs. 600/-. Those who are from SC/ST and PC category need to spend Rs. 300/- in application fee

Those who are applying for AICE-JRF/SRF (PGS) and belonging to the category GEN, OBC and UPS required to make payment of       Rs. 1200/- . On the contrary those who are from category such as SC/ST and PC required to pay Rs. 600/-

Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility for AIEEA UG Courses:

  • Make sure to have Aadhaar Card for applying for the course
  • Candidate must be of Indian nationality
  • Applicant must be of age 16 years as on 31st Aug 2018
  • Candidate must have passed class 12th from some recognized board
  • Candidate must have passed with the subjects such as Physics, Chemistry and any of the subjects from Home Science, Mathematics, Biology, and Agriculture.
  • Those who have completed class 12th with Agriculture without Chemistry and Physics can take admission in SAUs in states of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh
  • For stream-A exam, candidate must have passed intermediate with the subject such as Chemistry, Physics, and Biology/Agriculture/Home Science subjects.
  • For stream-B, students required to have passed class 12th with subjects such as Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics.
  • Those who have completed class 12th with subject as home science are also eligible for seeking admission to the limited SAUs
  • The qualifying marks must be 50% for those belonging to General/OBC /UPS category and 40% for those belonging to SC/ST/PC categories. Those who are pursuing are also to apply in the exam

Eligibility for AIEEA PG Courses:

  • Make sure to have Aadhaar Card for applying for the course
  • Candidate must be of Indian nationality
  • Applicant must be of age 19 years as on 31st Aug 2018
  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates must have attained bachelor’s degree in the respective field under the pattern 10+2+5 (B.V. Sc. & A.H.). The patterns are 10+2+4 and 10+6 as well. Those who have passed graduation in pattern of 10+2+3 are applicable to apply for IARI, Pusa and NDRI, Karnal in some of the courses
  • Minimum Marks: Candidates are required to have attained 60% (For general category) and 50% for those belonging to SC/ST/PC categories).
  • Those who are pursuing in the examination can also apply for the exam

  • First of all visit the main website
  • Search for ‘ICAR AIEEA Application Form’.
  • Choose the course ‘AIEE UG’ or ‘AIEEA PG’.
  • Then enter the details such as personal info, address, qualification, course & other details in the application form.

ICAR AIEEA 2018 Exam Pattern:

For UG level courses:

  • There will be overall 180 questions which will be commenced in the offline mode
  • The questions will be in Objective Type pattern
  • The question paper will appear in two languages English as well as Hindi
  • The examination will take place for time duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes
  • For every correct answer, candidate will earn 4 marks and 1 mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer

For AIEEA PG level courses:

  • The exam will take place in the offline mode
  • There will be two different sections, Section A and Section B
  • In total, there will be 200 questions. Section A consisted of 20 questions and section B comprises of 180 questions
  • Exam duration will be for 3 hours
  • Every correct answer will let you earn 1 mark
  • There will be deduction of 0.25 mark for an incorrect answer

Admit Card

  • Admit card for ICAR AIEEA 2018 will be uploaded on ICAR website in the 2nd week of May 2018.
  • Admit card must be attested by principal of college/school last attended or by gazetted officer.
  • To appear the examination, it is necessary for the candidates to attest photograph, signature as well as put thumb impression in the admit card.


  • It is expected that result of ICAR AIEEA 2018 will be announced by the second week of June 2018 on the official website.
  • The result should be checked by the candidate from the personal login account.
  • Result will be published in terms of overall merit-rank and category rank obtained by the candidate.


  • The counselling will be held as per the schedule notified by the authority.
  • The candidates who will be declared as qualified will be eligible for attending the ICAR counselling.
  • Candidates are required to attend the counselling in person.
  • At the time of counseling, candidates have to bring the self attested as well as original documents /certificates.
