NEET 2017 Counselling will be organized through online mode. NEET is National Eligibility Entrance Test. It is a national level entrance test regulated by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The NEET centralized counselling will be supervised by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). MCC is constituted by the Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It has constituted to conduct online counseling for 15% All India Quota seats for MBBS/BDS courses.
The NEET counselling 2017 will be started from the third week of June 2017. Only NEET qualified candidates can appear in the counselling process. Candidates have to register themselves in the counselling process to confirm their seats in MBBS/BDS course & colleges.

The counselling procedure will be organized in three rounds. The procedure of NEET online counselling is mentioned below:
Online Registration: To participate in NEET counselling, the candidate has to register themselves by filling their basic details. Without registration, candidates will not able to participate in the counselling procedure. After registration, candidates will get a unique USER ID & PASSWORD in registered email Id & mobile number. Candidates have to register with the given user id & password for further procedure.
Choice Filling & Locking: Now, candidates have to select the medical/dental colleges & courses as per their preference. After final selection, candidates have to click on “Save” button & lock their choices. It is necessary to lock the choices.
Result Declaration: Candidates will receive a SMS or email related to the allotted course & colleges after a few days of the counselling process. The seats will be allotted to the candidates on the basis of rank & opted choice of colleges.
Reporting to the Allotted College: After result announcement, candidates have to report in the allotted college and confirm their seat by paying the course fee. In case, the candidate failed to report in the allotted college at the given time frame the seats will be given to the next candidate.
After getting seat, candidates have to report at the allotted college within a given time period. During admission, candidates have to bring their original documents for verification. In case, candidates fails to join at the allotted medical/dental college within a stipulated time, then candidates seat will be cancelled & candidates will not be eligible for further rounds of counselling.

NEET Counselling 2017 for 15% All India Quota seats
The counselling of NEET 2017 will be conducted for admissions to seats in government medical and dental colleges, which falls under the category of All India Quota seats. It must be noted that since Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Jammu and Kashmir do not participate in central pool of All India Quota seats, colleges from these states will not be participating in admission under All India Quota seats. Hence, the states will conduct counselling for 100% state quota seats.
NEET 2017 State Counselling
The counselling for admission under 85% state quota seats (except in Andhra Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Telangana) will be conducted by medical education department or an authority appointed by the state government. It must be noted that according to a Supreme Court directive, counselling for private, central and deemed universities will be done along with the government colleges, which means, state will conduct a common centralized counselling for admissions to all colleges located in that particular state. Further, CBSE will conduct a state merit list for each state and Union territory (UT) and forward it to respective states.
The exam conducting authority, CBSE, will also prepare a merit list for participating medical colleges and forward it to concerned medical colleges for counselling process. Allotment of MBBS and BDS seats in Armed Forces Medical College (AFMC), Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi will also be done by the respective medical colleges on the basis of NEET 2017 scores.
