About

Al-Ameen Charitable Fund Trust, Bangalore, a charitable organization was founded by the great visionary and philanthropist Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed Khan at Bangalore in 1979 with group of leading Muslim personalities.The aim of the Al-Ameen Charitable Fund Trust is to establish educational (General and Professional) institutions and welfare organizations principally for the benefit of Muslim community and other under priveleged persons. Bijapur is one of the educationally and economically backward districts of Karnataka where Muslim population is sizable. For this reason the Medical College, Dental College and Nursing School were established at this historical city of the Great Adil Shahies.

Al-Ameen Charitable Fund Trust has also various educational institution viz : Primary Schools, High Schools, Junior Colleges, Degree Colleges, College of education, College of Pharmacy, Engineering College, Technical Training Institutes, Scholarship Fund, Law College and Hospitals and orphanages through out the length and breadth of the country.

Today all the institutions of Al-Ameen Charitable Fund Trust reflect a modern hi-tech vision with the spirit of secularism in the field of education to build India as a strong Nation in the world.

Al-Ameen Medical College at Bijapur was started during the month of September, 1984 with the untiring efforts of Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed Khan, the Founder of Al-Ameen Movements. The college premises spread over two hundred acres of land on western hills of historical city of Bijapur . The main college building, administrative block, recreation hall, the play ground, basket ball stadium, boys and ladies.

Infrastructure

Bijapur city is the Head Quarter of the Bijapur district of Karnataka state. The landscape between River Bhima and Krishna has rolling character unfolding this great historical city where past is ever presented with beautiful and majestic buildings of Adil Shahi days.
Bijapur is 97 km from Sholapur Jn. (Maharastra State) of Central Railway. Sholapur is well connected by Express train services from all the metropolis of India. There are local train services between Sholapur Jn. and Bijapur. Apart from this Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) and Maharastra State Road Transport Corporation(MSRTC) run 24 hours bus services between Sholapur and Bijapur through National Highway 13. It is 2 ½ hours journey by road.
Daily several Luxury bus services are available between Bijapur to Bangalore, Bijapur to Mumbai, Bijapur to Pune and Bijapur to Hyderabad and vice versa. Distances are followed:
Bijapur to Bangalore is 560 km
Bijapur to Mumbai is 420 km
Bijapur to Hyderabad is 350 km
The campus is 3 Km away from the city. Al-Ameen Medical College/Al-Ameen Dental College runs it’s own bus services frequently. Apart from this Local KSRTC bus services and private Auto services are available throughout the day.
