Central Board of Secondary Examination will release the result for Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2017 on 27th April. The pen-paper based JEE Main 2017 exam was conducted on April 2, while computer-based JEE Main exam was conducted on April 8 and April 9. Every year more than 12 lakh students appear for JEE Main exam. JEE Main exams are conducted for admission to BTech, BE and B.Arch programmes offered at NITs, IIITs, and other government approved engineering institutes. JEE Main scores are also accepted for admission by many private engineering institute which makes the JEE Main results all the more important.
JEE Main result is also important as it is sort of a qualifying examination for appearing in JEE Advanced exam. JEE Advanced exam is conducted for admission to IITs.

What to do after checking JEE Main 2017 result?
Three main things. First take a print out of your score card. Second , if you have qualified for JEE Advanced exam, then move over to JEE Advanced website and get complete details about JEE Advanced application process which starts tomorrow as well. Third, if you have not qualified for JEE Advanced don’t worry and check your options where you can get admission based on your AIR rank. For this you can refer to previous year cut off marks for various engineering institutes.
In case you don’t make the cut or have a low score, you don’t need to lose heart. Your performance in JEE Main is not a reflection of your intelligence and capability. Instead of feeling demotivated, consider your options and plan your future course of action.
This year around 10.2 lakh students have appeared in JEE Main 2017 pen & paper based examination. After the successful completion of the exam, the authority shall release the JEE Main Result 2017 for Paper 1 on 27th April 2017. The result will be declared through online mode. Students can view their results through the official link (link will be provided here). AIR and Category rank for paper 1 will be declared on same as 27th April while for JEE Main (Paper 2), it will be released on 27th May 2017. Candidates are required to enter their roll number and date of birth to view results.
Students are suggested to take extra printouts of the result and keep it safe till the admission process get completed. A merit list will be prepared according to the marks scored in the entrance exam and 12th or equivalent exam. After the result declared, the JEE Main Rank Card will be issued containing the All India Rank, State Rank, Category Rank and other details.
JEE Main Cut-Off 2017
Along with the announcement of JEE main paper 1 result on 27th April 2017, JEE Main cut-off will be released officially. The cut-off will be available via online mode through the official site. The cut-off marks will be set according to the categories, candidates appeared and difficulty level of the exam. below we are giving the last year cut-off for reference only. Around top 2 lac candidates may be allowed to appear the second stage of JEE exam (JEE Advanced).

JEE Main Rank List
The rank list (All India Rank & category rank for paper 1) will be out on 27th April 2017. On the last week of June 2017, the rank list (All India Rank for paper 2) will be out for JEE Main examination. Admission to the NITs, IIITs, government and private colleges will be done on the basis of this rank list. Counselling will be scheduled after the declaration of AIR list. Beside this All India Rank list, a separate rank list for each category will be released separately.
Predict your Rank
After announcing the JEE Main result 2017, a one month is a long distance to know the actual rank got by each candidates. So here, candidates can check their rank (predicted) around one month before the announcement of official rank. By using their score declared on 27th April 2017, candidates may get a rough but approx right idea that how much rank they would get.
JEE Main 2017 Counselling (by JoSAA)
JoSAA counselling 2017 will be started right from the 4th week of June 2017 after the announcement of the JEE Advanced result & JEE Main (AIR). JEE Advanced 2017 seat allotment will be started from 19th June 2017 to 18th July 2017. Counselling procedure will be held in 4 steps like Registration, filling & locking choices, seat acceptance & fee payment process. All steps will be done via online mode only. After fee payment other procedure like document verification and reporting will be done through offline mode.

JEE Advanced 2017 Registration
Candidates who qualifiy the JEE Main exam are eligible for JEE advanced 2017 (candidates must score 75% marks for Gen/OBC & 65% marks SC/ST/PwD in 12th or equivalent class).The JEE advanced 2017 registration will commence from 28th April, 2017. Candidates can register till 2nd May, 2017. JEE Advanced is conducted for admission to B.tech/B.E/integrated M.tech programmes offered by IIT’s and ISM.
